There's so much good to yoga. It makes complete sense that yoga is good for the feet. So many standing and balance poses. It just goes hand in hand. Or shall I say foot in foot?
I'm gonna tell you something personal. I have a bunion. It is not pretty. I have had it for years, on my left foot. Sometimes it hurts, and I mean a lot of pain. My mother had one, (some swear it's hereditary, but shoes and lifestyle play into it too). She had the surgery to remove it many years ago. She said the recovery was horrifically painful. Everyone I know that has had this "bunionectomy" has said the exact same thing. Uber painful, and that they would NEVER do it again. So I started working my feet a bit more in my yoga practice. I massage my own feet several times a week. It makes a big difference. The added plust to all of this is that my yoga practice got easier. As my foundation was stronger, via my stronger feet. My conncetion to my mat is superb, because I think about it and work it every time I am on the mat. The link below has many great suggestions to healthier feet. Don't wait until you actually have foot pain to do these simple moves. Foot pain, as with all pain, basically sucks. So let us avoid this entirely. https://yogainternational.com/article/view/9-poses-to-prevent-bunions-relieve-bunion-pain?utm_source=Yoga+International&utm_campaign=85abd71072-basic-member-welcome-series43&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_943c6d823b-85abd71072-88357453&goal=0_943c6d823b-85abd71072-88357453&mc_cid=85abd71072&mc_eid=69590e27e9
